How we research and compare tools

Every article, guide and comparison on this site follows the rules below: how a page gets written, where its numbers come from, what its dates mean, and what happens when something on it is wrong.

How pages are made

Pages are drafted with AI from our product docs and code, and published by Oneprofile.

Every claim about what Oneprofile does is checked against the product docs or the code before it is published. A claim we cannot find there is cut.

A page reads “Reviewed by Utku Zihnioglu” only after he has reviewed it and the review is recorded with its date. Until then it reads “Published by Oneprofile”. If the page changes in a material way after his review, his name comes off until he reviews it again.

Examples use invented companies on reserved .example domains, so no real company stands in for a made-up one.

Where prices come from

Our own prices come from the files the product itself runs on: plan prices and limits from our plan catalog, and enrichment prices from our enrichment catalog. An enrichment is quoted as “up to N credits”, the most one lookup can cost, and a lookup that finds nothing costs nothing.

A competitor’s prices and plans come only from that vendor’s own pricing page. We record which page we read and on what day, and the comparison prints that source as plain text with the date.

Our publishing checks refuse a competitor price that is not in that record. Once a month we read each vendor’s pricing page again and update what changed.

How we compare tools

We make Oneprofile, and our comparison pages recommend it for the reader each page is written for. We would rather say that here than leave you to guess.

Each comparison says what the other tool does well. We do not score tools, give star ratings or add review markup.

A comparison never claims a test, a benchmark or a customer result we cannot point to.

What the dates mean

Published is the day a page first went live.

Updated is the day its facts, prices, steps, sections or FAQ answers last changed. A typo fix does not move it, and it is never earlier than Published.

Prices checked, on a comparison page, is the oldest day on which we read the pricing pages that page quotes.

When something is wrong

When we find a mistake, we fix the page. If the fix changes a fact, a price, a step or an answer, the page’s Updated date moves with it.
